The Awesome Digger

It's no secret that Cooper has a mild addiction to infomercials. Seriously. Boy is obsessed with "As Seen On TV" items. I dreaded breaking the news to him that Billy Mays had died.

Anyhoo, over the weekend, I was alerted to an item that I apparently needed in a very bad way. Or so he thought.

His little sales pitch went something like this....

"Mommmmmmmm --You need to get this.

It's a digger.

You know how you bend down to plant flowers and it makes your back hurt??

(And he demonstrated)

With this you don't have to bend down.

So your back will never hurt.It takes the hard work...Out of yard work.

It easily attaches to any drill.

And digs the holes for you.

Just. Like. That.

And it's only 19.99.

Plus if we call now we get the bonus drill.

You just stand up...

And it digs the holes.

(More demonstrating)

And then you plant your flowers.

And your back won't hurt.

We need to get this.

Seriously.

Here's the number.

(Doing his best Vanna White impersonation by slowly running his pointer finger across the number on the TV screen.)

It's called the Awesome Digger.

I mean the ....

(Rewinds tivo)

It's called the Awesome Auger (which he pronounces Awguh)

We need to get this.

Seriously."

Kid needs to go back to school.

6 Wanna' ramble too?:

That's a whole lot more thoughtful than the time Trenton saw a commercial for spider vein treatment and said I would be a much happier woman if I got it...

I'm concerned that you do that much digging. Digging an underground tunnel?

My oldest child sees me hunting for keys and tells me I need the handy key finder she saw. Also, for one dreaded moment I was afraid I was going to get that ugly backpack/liver pack/purse that holds 90 gagillion things for my birthday. Emma asked me what color I liked more, black or brown? Thankfully, she doesn't know how to use a phone yet.

Kearsie - My kid said I needed the Buxton organizer too. That thing is hideous.
