Let there be air

And at the end of the ninth day...

There was air.

Beautiful cool air.

And it made the people very happy.

And they clapped their hands with glee.

And cried tears of joy.

And hugged the Air Conditioner Fixer Man.

And the people turned on lights.

And planned menus using the oven.

And slept in their own bed

(Except for the kids who decided to sleep upstairs in the playroom and play cards and watch Game Show Network all night long...)

And the people listened to the gentle hum of the air conditioner.

Instead of the loud whirring of 18 box fans.

And they used their hair dryers without breaking a sweat.

And they were not afraid of the weather forecast showing 90+ highs.

And they opened their blinds.

And the people were happy.

And it was good.

Very, very good.

3 Wanna' ramble too?:

UN says - "we hope your new A/C is the right size - because" 'and behold the Lord passed by and a great and strong wind tore into the mts and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord - but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake: but after the earthquake a fire - but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice'.
