Seven things regarding yesterday's family portrait:

1. This was the first year since we've been married that the Captain hasn't dressed up like a cop for Halloween. That cop uniform, while quite authentic, was getting pretty boring after all these years.

2. The Captain also carried around a lasso. Why he actually owns a lasso remains slightly unclear.

3. He wore his Wranglers. Hubba hubba.

4. Cooper had some difficulty making a costume decision. At one point over the weekend, he said he was just going to be "a pedestrian". Huh? "You know, I'll just walk around." Then he said he would be a "civilian". Again, a non-costume costume. Monday night he waivered between Troy Polamalu and John Cena before finally setting on #43.

5. Fred Flintstone got cold and ended up wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket most of the night.

6. I'm still wearing the whistle. Comes in handy.

7. The Captain wore Wranglers.
