connected. outdoors. and not.

The Captain and Jordan will be returning to some semblance of reality today.  There's a chance they may even get home tonight!  Woo-hooooo!

Regardless, I think they should have some cell service today.  Which will be nice.

They've been gone this long - even longer - before.   But it's been a bit different this time with no cell service. 

I even got to talk to them when they were in Honduras.

But can't while they are on a river in Missouri.

Weird.

I hope they've had fun. They do enjoy this type of stuff.  Fifty miles of canoeing.  Setting up camp every night.  Sleeping in a hammock.  Out in the middle of nowhere.  No running water.  No electricity.  Cooking beans on the fire.  Shoot - just making a fire.

It's a bit "rough" for me. 

My idea of roughing it is having to sleep upstairs because the downstairs A/C unit is out. 

Or having dip but no chips.

Or 5% power left on my phone.

Yeah, I'm not too outdoorsy...

But I did cook hot dogs and corn on the grill last night.  OUTSIDE.  In the 95 degree heat. 

So I've got that going for me.
