Forget it

Tried to make a little pedicure appointment yesterday. It went something like this:

I'd like to make an appointment for late this afternoon. Maybe 4?

OK, what time would you like  to come in?

How about 4?

We don't have anything at 4. Could you come in at 2 or 3:30?

Hmmmm. I could make it at 3:30.

OK. Could you come in a little before 3:30? Like closer to 3:00?

No. Never mind.
