New Year's Week Recap

Recapping the New Year's week...

• I like the week between Christmas and New Year. I love the slow pace. Nice to be able to just relax after the fun, frenzied Christmas activities and decompress.
  

• We watched football. Continuously. It was pure bliss. We caught almost every game that was on. We even wrote down all the games on a ledger pad so we could keep up with them. "Check the analysis pad!" I think our retinas have football fields permanently imprinted on them. Like if you leave one channel continuouly on an LCD TV, it imprints that image....
  
  
• Did you catch the Cotton Bowl? It is, hands down, the best bowl game we have seen this week. The Vandy game was pretty good too.
  
  
• I am beginning to get blue that there are only three more college games before the end of the season. What's a girl to do?
  
  
• Still rolling along in the NFL playoffs though. I am pulling for the Tennessee Titans and the Carolina Panthers. Who's your pick?
  
  
• We ate like pigs. I have nothing else to say about this.
  
  
• Back to work for me and the Captain today. We are in very deep denial about this. And we both think it is atrocious that we have to work five days. In a row. And to think I have to put on shoes...It's just not right.
  
  
• Kids go back to school tomorrow. Reality will hit them hard. And so will school uniforms. They have worn PJs almost every minute of their break, except for the times we went to church and the occasional times we ventured outside the house.
  
  
• We were slothful slugs last week. And it totally rocked.
