From the weekend at mi casa:
Flu Boy never really got too sick. Thankful for that. I am glad Connie urged us to get flu test. I think we caught it really early and got on the Tamiflu before he really went south.
Speaking of medicine, he does NOT take medicine well. His Tamiflu dosage was one teaspoon twice a day for five days. You would think he was having to take a cup every hour. The first night, it took an hour and a half to get the medicine down him. An hour. And a half. He says the medicine is "gisdusting" and tastes "like elephant poo". Whatever. On Saturday, he took 19 sips before it was all gone. Ummmm, remember people, it's just a teaspoon. My patience has been tried during this period of dosing, but tomorrow morning will end the Wailing and Gnashing of Teeth. And all the people said Amen.
Even though I am still pouting about the Tigers loss on Thursday night, I tuned in to the other games over the weekend. As of yesterday afternoon, my bracket was worthless. Bracket schmacket. All my Final Four picks are out. Not even sure who I'm rooting for now.
Big news from the Foot Fracture Department....I wore two real shoes for a few hours on both Saturday and Sunday. It now makes perfect sense why the doctor said I would have to wean myself slowly out of the boot and that it would take months before I would be pain free. I was glad to get back in the boot after just a few hours. Ouchie. Baby steps.
Our weekend was low-key. Kids painted and watched movies. I read and watched basketball. The Captain went turkey hunting. We are all now well and rested and ready to tackle this week.
Have a good one. Peace out people.
