Inquiring minds want to know

It's a new year.

2011.

What are you calling it?

Two thousand eleven.

Two thousand and eleven.

Twenty eleven.

Personally, I call it two thousand eleven.

I don't know where the "twenty ten" and "twenty eleven" came from.

We never said "twenty oh five" or "twenty oh nine".

So why would we say "twenty ten" or "twenty eleven"?

These are the things that drive me nuts.

OK, that's all. As you were.

2 Wanna' ramble too?:

I'm with you on the pronunciation. And, for some reason, I can't bring myself to call it, "Eleven." Why is that??

Do you think they had this problem back in one thousand nine hundred eleven?
