My nephew has The Swine. Poor kid. Has been very sick. Really. Very sick. When you call a fever of 102 one that is "trending downward", THAT is sick.
I do not want The Swine. Nor do I want my kids to get it.
But we can't help what we can't help.
And this Swine thing is really weird. And scary. And I'm trying not to flip out about it.
So I am obsessing over hand-washing. Seriously. I tell my kids to do it constantly. WASHYOURHANDS. WASHYOURHANDS. WASHYOURHANDS.
Plus I am a walking reminder to not touch your eyes, nose, mouth, face, other people, door handles, buggy handles, etc etc etc. QUITTOUCHING. QUITTOUCHING. QUITTOUCHING.
And I am a pusher of the hanitizer.....I have it everywhere. There is not enough hanitizer in the world people. I think my son actually coined the word "hanitizer". Hand + Sanitizer = Hanitizer. Whatever you want to call it kid, just use it.
Jordan reminded me yesterday that the top dispenser pushy thing on the hanitizer is probably the dirtiest thing ever. Girl has a point. So I rubbed some hanitizer on it.
I am also personally an Airborne junkie.
And have been known to spray a lot of Lysol. In the air. On things. At people.
So, people, let's arm ourselves to fight The Swine. I would give you a high five, but I don't want to touch your hand.

Clean Up. Clean Up.
Have you seen the hand wipey dispenser things that the grocery stores have by their buggies? So you can wipe off the germy handles? Seen those? I am a very big fan of those things. And yes, I use them. Cause I'm a germaphobe. And you never know what people have been touching, scratching, picking or wiping before they touched the buggy handle. EWWWWWW. Besides, I will never pass up an opportunity to use a hand wipey or some hanitizer. Cause I'm a germaphobe. Did I mention that already? I did? OK, sorry. Moving along.....
So when I'm at the grocery, I will use the wipey to wipe my hands. And the buggy handle.
But the other night at Kroger I witnessed a very odd thing.
There was a guy who had gotten his buggy. OK.
And he got a wipey. OK.
And proceeded to wipe his........wait for it.....
....his......legs......
......and his......arms.....
Seriously people. Dude was giving himself a sponge bath in the entrance of the Kroger. With the cart handle wipey thing.
Like all over his legs and arms. Wipe. Wipe. Wipe.
I literally stopped. And stared.
And I may have chuckled out loud.
Cause it was totally bizarre.
And I think that behavior far surpasses my OCD Germaphobism. Just sayin.
I'm rambling about blah blah blah, I have OCD, I really don't get it

Sold! To the gal with OCD and the migraine.
Friday I noticed an online auction advertised in my newspaper.
And they were auctioning off a sectional.
I have totally been in the market for a sectional for my playroom. But I don't want to spend a small fortune on it.
#1 because it's upstairs and said purchased sectional would not be in the direct line of public viewing.
#2 Did I mention it was in the playroom? Which means it will get jumped on and flopped on and be forced to endure lots of wii playing activity.
But I thought that if I could get this sectional for a moderate song, then why not?
So I registered.
And entered my "maximum secret bid".
OK, I actually had to get Friend Anne to help me because I'm a moron. And I'm not real savvy with online auctions.
So she explained it all to me.
And then I clicked "submit bid". Eeeeeek!
I was the current high bidder!!!
Then I got excited. And nervous.
Because what if I won the sectional?!?!? I would be excited. And nervous.
And what if I didn't win the sectional?!?!? I would be sad. And relieved.
It was an odd sort of emotion rolling around in that ol' heart of mine.
The auction ran for 48 hours. And I obsessed over it all weekend and constantly checked my email and the auction site for updates would occasionally think about it and check the current bid.
I am not cut out for ebay.
Or apparently any sort of auction.
Because there is a constant state of nervousness during this bidding process. It is not good for anyone with OCD. Just sayin'.
I was actually the only bidder on the sectional. Well, one other guy bid, but it did not meet the reserve, so his bid was never accepted. So my original bid was it.
And all 382,429 times every time I checked, I was the ONLY bidder. So things were kind of in my favor. Unless there was a last minute bump bidder.
I also had some momentary panic set in when I wondered if the sectional was really a SECTIONal. Like, could this thing make it up my stairs? And make those tight little stairway turns? Hmmmmm.
The auction closed at 10pm on Sunday night. Which is past my bedtime. But I thought I could stay up and witness history. But then I got a migraine. And really could not even get out of bed. Much less check the current bid status.
The Captain offered to stay up and engage in a bidding war if necessary. And courageously fight that last minute bump bid. Cause he is brave like that.
But I decided that my first - and only - bid was my final offer. And if I were going to keep upping my bid, then I could just buy it directly from the store.
So I went to bed.
And Monday morning discovered....
I WON!!! I WON THE SECTIONAL!!
Woooo hooooo!
Did I mention that the sectional - that I now own - was one of the exact ones that I had looked at?!?! And how cool is that?
In the meantime, I'm still hoping we can get my little prize up the stairs.....
Stay tuned....
I'm rambling about home sweet home, I have OCD, it doesn't take much to make me excited, money

Be Still My Heart
Look at this lovely thing.
It is a Brother P-touch PT1230PC.

Yes, it's a label maker. But it's not just any label maker. This precious thing plugs into the USB port on your computer and allows you to type your labels onto a small pop-screen. Yes, using your computer keyboard. And an even bigger yes: USING ALL THE FONTS ON YOUR COMPUTER. Oh the possibilities. Cue angelic singing.
Simple. Plug it in. Type the label. Click print. Out comes the label.
Pure bliss people.
And the timing of this discovery. Just perfect. My regular hand-held label maker just bit the dust.
I've gotta' have this thing.
